I’ve been writing about health and nutrition for 25 years and I've worked on more than 55 books by publishers like Harper/Quill, McGraw-Hill, Penguin, and others.
(Some of the books I've worked on are shown in the photo.)
A grad of UC Berkeley School of Public Health, my writing on holistic health has focused on nutrition, digestion, food sensitivities, hormones, immunity, lifestyle, longevity, and stress management. I also hold a degree from Catholic University (Washington, DC) in counseling and case management.
When my son moved into his own apartment, within two years he had gained 115 pounds, given up gym workouts and soccer, and was on the verge of diabetes.
Yet as a foodie, I knew there was no way he was ever going to miss a meal.
In desperation, I tried an approach I had learned years earlier, collaborating on a book with a brilliant physician, Dr. Richard Kunin. The strategy worked beautifully!
My son was able to take the weight off and keep it off.
And he hasn’t missed a meal in 15 years.

Nancy has enormous compassion for her clients, knowledge of integrative medicine, and she has honed her abilities to research all health-related subjects. She led me through the jungle of nutrition, brushing away dangling vines that seemed to stop me in my tracks. At other times, she allowed me to lead the way since I know my body better than anyone else. All her words were gentle without a tinge of judgment. My outcome is a lower number on the scale, a handle on how to avoid cravings, and a decrease in inflammation. I feel and look better.

Friends have been telling me that I look terrific, and asking what I'm doing. I have been losing weight too, but the best thing about the program is how good I feel.

I'm a vegan and I love gourmet raw food. Working at home and having so much great food around, I started to put on a litte extra weight. Knowing which foods to cut out and which to emphasize has made it easy for me to get back on track.
